अमन के पिता जी आफिस (दफ़्तर) जा रहे हैं। उसकी माता जी उसके पिता जी से बिजली का बिल जमा करवाने के लिए कहती है।
पिता : मैं बहुत व्यस्त हूं। आज मेरी एक मीटिंग है।
माता : आज (बिजली का) बिल जमा करने का अंतिम दिन है।
पिता : ठीक है। मैं कोशिश करूंगा। (अपना मोबाइल उपयोग करने के बाद) मैंने बिल जमा कर दिया है। अमन सब देख रहा है और यह जानने का उत्सुक है कि उसके पिता जी ने बिल कैसे जमा
करवाया है। वह इसके बारे में शाम को अपने पिता से पूछता है।
अमन : पापा, आप बिजली आफिस (घर) नहीं गए परन्तु आपने बिल जमा करा दिया। यह कैसे संभव है ?
पिता : मैंने नेट बेंकिग सुविधा से बिल जमा किया था।
अमन : ओह ! नेट बैंकिंग सुविधा क्या है ? कृपया मुझे बताएं।
पिता : ओ के, सुनो। बैंक एक सुरक्षित स्थान है जहाँ हम अपना पैसा सुरक्षित रख सकते हैं। यह उन लोगों से धन लेता है जो धन बचाना चाहते हैं और उन लोगों को ब्याज पर उधार देता
है जिन्हें पैसों की आवश्यकता होती है।
अमन : क्या हम अपना पैसा वापिस ले सकते हैं ?
पिता : हां, बिल्कुल ! यह बात हमारे द्वारा चुने गए खाते पर निर्भर करती है। बचत खाते से हमें जब भी जरूरत हो हम पैसा निकाल सकते हैं।

पिता : बैंक में हमारा धन सदैव सुरक्षित रहता है। बैंक हमें हमारे जमा धन पर कुछ अतिरिक्त पैसे भी देता है जिसे ब्याज कहते हैं।
अमन : बैंक यह सब कुछ कैसे याद रखता है ?
पिता : प्रत्येक बैंक के पास कम्प्यूटर हैं जो सारा लेखा-जोखा रखते हैं। जब कभी भी हम धन जमा करवाते हैं या निकलवाते हैं तो बैंक कर्मचारी सभी जमा और निकासी का सारा लेखा-जोखा कम्प्यूटर में रख देते हैं।
अमन : हम धन की निकासी कैसे कर सकते हैं ?
पिता : बैंक हमें एक चैक बुक देता है। हम धन की निकासी चैक द्वारा, प्रपत्र द्वारा अथवा ए० टी० एम० कार्ड से कर सकते हैं।

पिता : ए० टी० एम० कार्ड के प्रयोग से हम कभी भी धन निकाल सकते हैं, यहां तक कि जब बैंक बंद होता है। बैंक हमें एक क्रेडिट कार्ड भी देता है जिससे हम धन को हस्तांरित करके भुगतान करते हैं जैसा कि मैंने सुबह किया था। बैंक हमें अपने कीमती सामान को रखने के लिए लॉकर भी देते हैं।
अमन : मैं बैंक में खाता कैसे खोल सकता हूँ?
पिता : तुम बैंक में अपनी पहचान के प्रमाण के रूप में आधार कार्ड और अपना नवीनतम फोटो देकर अपना खाता खोल सकते हो।
